FEBRUARY 4, 2015 —New Sensations' BDSM blockbuster "The Submission of Emma Marx" is featured in the Showtime documentary "X-Rated: The Greatest Adult Movies of All Time." Set to premiere Feb. 6, the Plausible Films documentary counts down 32 of adult cinema's most historic and influential films from 1971 to present day.

Co-directed by St. James and Eddie Powell, "The Submission of Emma Marx" released in 2012 to explosive global acclaim and chart-topping sales. The story, written by St. James — then fresh off an AVN win for Best Screenplay ("Dear Abby") — told the tale of Emma Marx, a young and disillusioned woman looking for more than the trappings of a conventional romance. She finds it in Mr. William Frederick, a disturbed and domineering businessman with a proposal for a contractual BDSM relationship.

"Whether you’re into BDSM or couple’s films or not, 'The Submission of Emma' has struck a chord with so many because of its exploration of sexuality and normalcy," St. James said. "The Submission of Emma Marx" is toplined by Penny Pax and Richie Calhoun. Co-stars included Van Wylde and Riley Reid, whose role as Emma's chipper and conservative sister, Nadia, earned her a Best Supporting Actress win at the 2014 XBIZ Awards. That same year, AVN named "The Submission of Emma Marx" as its Best BDSM Release. XRCO followed suit by honoring the film as Best Release of the Year and the Feminist Porn Awards recognized it as the Steamiest Romantic Movie of the Year.

It's eagerly anticipated sequel, "The Submission of Emma Marx: Boundaries," releases on Feb. 16. The new story picks up with Emma fully committed to her evolving D/s relationship with Mr. Frederick. Her devotion suffers a devastating blow when she discovers a woman from Frederick's past has returned to his side, forcing her to reconsider the boundaries that have defined her. Pax, Calhoun, Reid, and Wylde reprise their roles, and are joined by new co-stars Sara Luvv and Logan Pierce. St. James writes and directs.
