NOVEMBER 22, 2016 — New Sensations/Digital Sin received 39 combined nominations for the 2017 AVN Awards, including Director of the Year honors for Jacky St. James and William H. Works honored this year include the acclaimed conclusion to the "Emma Marx" trilogy, "The Submission of Emma Marx: Exposed," newly launched all-girl imprint "The Lesbian Experience," Best New Series contender "What's Next" and the William H. helmed showcase "Veronica Rodriguez: Latina Squirt Goddess."

Eddie Powell is nominated for the film's editing and haunting cinematography. Acting leads Penny Pax and Richie Calhoun, along with supporting player Van Wylde, are also acknowledged with nominations for their roles in what is one of adult cinema's most enthralling and complicated love stories.

St. James is also nominated for her scripted vignettes in a variety of categories, including Best Anthology Movie for relationship dramedy "Tales From The Heart: The Proposal," Best Polyamory Movie for the hotwifing script-flip "Tales From the Edge: My Wife's First Girlfriend," and Best Taboo Movie for the provocative "Me, My Brother, and Another," produced for Digital Sin's Best Continuing Series nominee "Tabu Tales."

Digital Sin's all-girl glamour imprint "The Lesbian Experience" is nominated for Best All-Girl Series in its debut year, scoring additional nominations for Best All-Girl Movie for St. James' "Spicing It Up" and Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene for Shyla Jennings and Elle Alexandra's performance in "An Unexpected Encounter," a pseudo-documentary on the sexial exploits of lesbian strangers, written and directed by St. James.

Best New Series nominee "What's Next?" earned co-directors Eddie Powell and Paul Woodcrest a nomination for Best Director - Non-Featurure. The duo also picked up noms for Best Specialty Series for Digital Sin's "Schoolgirl Bound" and Best Gangbang Movie for Digital Sin's "My Sister's First Gangbang" and New Sensations' "My Hotwife's Gangbang 3." Additionally, Powell's "My Asian Hotwife" and Woodcrest's "Shane Diesel's Black Bull For Hire 4" are also up for awards in the categories of Best Ethnic Movie and Best Interracial Movie, respectively.

Visionary gonzo director William H. joined New Sensations this year and is the recipient of seven nominations, including Director of the Year and Best Director - Non-Feature for "Veronica Rodriguez: Latina Squirt Goddess." The showcase serves as Veronica Rodriguez's very first and is a nominee for Best Star Showcase and Best Three-Way Sex Scene. A noted trailblazer in the squirting and oil genres, William H. is also nominated for "Squirt-A-Holic," "Tits & Oil," and his New Sensations debut, "Wetter Better Asses."
